Top 3 Waterfalls & River Pools Near Lindoso

The Peneda-Gerês National Park is famous for its crystal-clear waters. Here are three of our favourite nearby spots for a refreshing dip.

1. Poço da Gola: Just a 5-minute drive from the cottages, this is the easiest to access. A series of beautiful rock pools by an ancient water mill, it's a perfect spot for a quick swim and a picnic.
2. Poço Negro (Soajo): A 20-minute drive plus a short walk leads you to this stunning deep-green pool ("the black well") fed by a beautiful waterfall. It’s a truly magical spot for a swim.
3. Pozas do Mallón (Spain): A 30-minute drive across the border takes you to this incredible stretch of the Laboreiro River. It features numerous stone pools and small waterfalls, all connected by trails.
