THE NEIGHBOURHOOD
- The street, which has existed since medieval times, connects to the Escadas dos Guindais.
- Walk to the old city walls, the funicular, and the bars and shops downtown.
- Walk to the world-famous Dom Luis Bridge (built by Gustav Eiffel's disciple Théophile Seyrig, 1886), which you can see from the house's bedrooms.
- An easy walk to the riverbank at Ribeira and the Port wine cellars across the river. All within a 10-15-minute radius.
TRANSPORT

- The area is very well served by a good public transportation network, offering many options at a reasonable price.
- You can catch the traditional tram 200 meters from the house, as well as the 'Funicular dos Guindais', which goes down (and up) to the river.
- The nearest metro stations (São Bento and Bolhão) are a 10-15-minute walk away, and there are buses and shuttles within a 5-minute walk, as is the São Bento train station.

Getting Around
Our house is located in downtown Porto, so walking is the easiest way to explore. The city has an extensive and affordable public transport system (buses, trams, metro), all nearby. São Bento train station is just a 15-minute walk away.
GETTING TO THE HOUSE FROM THE AIRPORT
By Metro (45 minutes)
— Purchase a card at the machine (each passenger will need their own card). The card is rechargeable for future trips.
— Take the metro from the airport (floor -1) and get off at Bolhão station.
— From there, it's a 10-15 minute walk to the house.

The location of the house is fabulous, as it has incredible views over the river and the bridge.
Maria is an excellent and responsive host. The location of her house is fabulous, as it has incredible views over the river and the bridge. The layout of the house is over 3 floors, kitchen, living room and bathroom on the ground floor, 2 double bedrooms with a bathroom on the 2nd floor and a bedroom with an en-suite bathroom on the 3rd floor. Very luxurious bedding and towels and comfortable beds. Porto is a beautiful city and there is a lot to explore and do. We arrived by train from Lisbon, the walk from São Bento station was just under 15 minutes. The recommendations Maria made were very helpful. We would certainly stay here again if we needed to.
